Meet our Founder
Craftsmanship
Born in Mauritius
- Born and raised in multicultural, multi-ethnic Mauritius, where my love for colour, culture and storytelling first took shape
- My parents owned a garment manufacturing business, and I grew up watching clothing come to life before learning to sew myself at the age of 9
- Long before Harizan existed, I had already fallen in love with the craft behind beautiful clothing
Perspective
Career in London
- BSc Statistics, Economics and Finance at University College London
- Five and a half years at J.P. Morgan
- Former team: TMT Investment Banking
- Moved to Paris after spending 9 years in London
- Travelled extensively, discovering how culture, art and design shape the way people express themselves
Purpose
Harizan was born after I moved to Paris
- Moving to Paris gave me the time and perspective to rethink my relationship with clothing and wellbeing
- After spending four years trying to help my partner manage eczema and persistent skin irritation, I realised we had overlooked one of the things our skin spends the most time in: our clothing
- My partner's skin finally cleared up since we started dressing more consciously

In a world of finite natural resources, environmental sustainability requires that we take less — using only the resources we need, and utilising them with maximum efficiency. As compared with generic viscose according to Higg MSI, the production of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ has a reduced environmental footprint.
Give More
When we need to take from nature, we seek to give back responsibly. LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres are biodegradable in soil, freshwater and marine environments, as well as compostable in home applications and industrial facilities.
Responsible Packaging
Waste cardboard is re-worked to create eco void-fill. All tape is made from paper and fully recyclable. Every element of our packaging has been considered with the environment in mind.
Our Certifications
LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres are certified with the EU Ecolabel, awarded to products meeting high environmental standards throughout their entire life cycle.
Lenzing aims to limit global warming to 1.5°C by reducing absolute greenhouse gas emissions by nearly 50% by 2030, with net zero committed by 2050.
All wood used as raw material is sourced from controlled or certified origins meeting FSC® or PEFC standards.
Certified for biodegradability in soil, freshwater and marine environments, and compostable under home and industrial conditions.
A molecular marker ensures the authenticity and traceability of LENZING™ ECOVERO™ fibres even after processing into textile products.
